Standard of Conduct

General Expectations

Our Lady of Walsingham Homeschool Co-op expects exemplary conduct from all members both in and out of the classroom. All adults, not just teachers, are expected to intervene if disruptive behavior is observed. All parents are responsible for enforcing the Our Lady of Walsingham Homeschool Co-op expectations listed below. It is understood that if anyone in your family violates the rules, it will jeopardize your participation in the co-op. Parents will be contacted if a disciplinary problem arises and may be asked to remove their child from class. Parents are responsible for their children’s actions and behavior. It is of utmost importance that students report misconduct to an adult promptly so that effective corrective action can be taken.

Our Lady of Walsingham Homeschool Co-op reserves the right to to suspend or terminate membership of any member or family when deemed necessary.

Classroom Discipline Policy

We are a Catholic co-op and believe it honors God when our students are respectful of adults and their fellow students. Before each semester of classes, teachers will explain the class rules to the students, so that they understand what is expected of them during co-op or tutorial classes. If a student is disruptive, the following process will take place:

  • First offense - the student receives a clear warning from the teacher or other adult.
  • Second offense - the student is removed from the classroom and sent to the parent. The student’s parents will be located and will be informed of the nature of the disruptive behavior. The Coordinator should also be notified in-person or by email that a discipline issue has occurred and that the parent has been notified.
  • Third offense – the student will spend the remainder of the day with the parent under his/her direct supervision. If the student continues to have discipline issues, the parent will be asked to remove the student for the remainder of the term, without a refund from Our Lady of Walsingham Homeschool Co-op.
